Regular is $ 4.76USD a gallon. I don’t even want to look at 94 octane. Meanwhile,

Hope that conversion ratio still plays nicely in May then! Currently still sitting at 0.75 which is real nice. Makes it pretty close to California prices anyways.

Time to go Electric!
![]() 04/04/2019 at 15:16 |

That’s in USD sadly... So no conversion applies. It’s $6.36CAD a gallon.

Luckily, I’m sure the Kia Forte is a very economical car, especially without power hungry air conditioning stressing the engine.

But when you go to the doctor after overdosing on gasoline whip- its , the visit is fully covered!

That makes it way cheaper than San Francisco, actually

Well that will be extra fun if I get something with a thirsty v8 then haha. I recall the last time I was in Canada driving around (although it was Toronto) gas was around 1.15 CAD which worked out to not much more than I had paid in NY for gas thanks to the conversion rate.

How much is gas per gallon there?
![]() 04/04/2019 at 15:30 |

€1.11. My heart bleeds for you. It's about €1.40 here.

It’s GBP£1.23 a litre here for petrol (regular unleaded, GBP£1.36 for super unleaded) , which is USD$6.11 a US Gallon or CAD$8 .16.

Yeah, I know. I have to move closer to work or work closer to home. 75 mile round trip...
![]() 04/04/2019 at 15:39 |

Yeah, but that’s per liter, right?

I just ended the lease on the Bluetec and picked up a thirstier rig, so gas prices should hi t record levels in no time.

Move away from bc, fuel prices and housing prices problems solved.

You got the wagon part right, but not the G. I erred on the side of (relative) sanity.

But I can wash my car in February and am addicted to the smug feeling of superiority (kidding)

Or drive less.

Oof, did you guys get hit by the carbon tax too? I paid $1.33 a litre for 91 the other day.
![]() 04/04/2019 at 15:58 |

I’m in a federal carbon tax Province, gas went up 10 cents right before the tax, 4 cents with the actual Tax, then another 10 cents a day later, which is BULLSHIT, and people are more upset about the carbon tax than the “pointless gouging and let Trudeau take the blame tax.

Filled up 91 at $4.19 USD/gallon last night. Regular (87) must be like $3.80?
![]() 04/04/2019 at 16:10 |

Both prices are per litre.
![]() 04/04/2019 at 16:50 |

$125 or so here atm!

Now I’m really curious... E450?
If so, I’m incredibly jealous, because I want one or a V60 but the wife insists on a “mom car” CUV thing.

Just got it last weekend. Kind of an impulse decision, as the old term was ending and I decided not to get attached and buy out the prior car. I was eligible to get into something new just a little early, and this was sitting around. Most expensive car/payment I’ve ever had, but man is it nice.
The “luxury” trim is uncommon, and I want the plu sh ride and hood star over the false pretense of “sport” on the usually-seen sport trim model. This is a traditional MB. It is pretty well equipped, but has tex, which I don’t mind. The salesman said most people don’t like the grille and hood star, which helped me bargain, and it was a battle.

Oof! I think we were $1.219 here, last I checked. I bet it’s gone up since then...
Maybe if I get off my fat butt, I could start biking to/from work at least one day a week...

Hey, there’s always room for that kind of attitude here in Southern Alberta. :P

I would if I could. I’m hoping to have my Civic last another 2-3 years, then maybe pick up a used Volt.

I hear you. I'm trying to tell myself that I'm capable of biking to/from work, but I haven't biked seriously since we had kids - so 3 - 4 years. I do plan on getting the stroller hooked up to my bike so I can start towing the kids around, but it would take me at least 45 minutes each way if I were to bike to work.
